What is the Online Property List? |

Online property list is an online database of properties that are available either for rent or for sale, the property can be anywhere in the world and anyone can add their property to the database. This service is a great starting point for people looking for a home, holiday home, villa, apartment, shop or land to buy or for others looking for something to rent. Although many properties could be entered by rental or estate agencies, one of the advantages of Property Lookup is that in many cases it allows the customer to deal directly with the property owner if the owner placed the entry.
When you visit your members area each propery you have listed will show the stats for the number of times it has been returned in a search and also for the number of times a visitor has selected that property to view.
When a user adds a property they need to enter the rental rate or price using one of three currencies "Euros, Sterling or US Dollars", when a search is performed the user can see the price in the currency the property owner entered but the Online property list application will also convert the users entered amount to the other two currencies so to assist potential clients from abroad, the exchange rates are calculated every day so the exchanges are current.
Important: The actual rental sale price of the property is shown in Bold text, the other two converted amounts and the actual exchange rates themselves are shown as a guide only. |

Why should I place my property on the Online Property List? |

The first thing you will notice about the Online property list is that it is simple and easy to use, these where two of the most important factors when designing the site, there is no clutter to confuse the user, the search pages and general user interface have a straight forward feel. Properties are not confined to one agents books and allows entries from any country in the world so giving you an international selection of properties for rent or for sale. Our aim is to give an easy to use searchable list of properties that are
for rent or for sale to the general public. The Online Property List is open for anyone to add their properties to, so the list can have entries made by the actual owner of the property as well as by an agent. Online Property List DO NOT charge commission on any rentals or sales of properties listed in our database, and you never know if you pick up a property here direct from the owner you might even save yourself a few bob in commission when buying a property! Many estate agents in Spain for example charge up to 8% commision on a sale, that's £8,000 comission on a £100,000 property, £24,000 comission on a £300,000 property and £40,000 on a £500,000 property, basically a fortune just for selling your property!. We are sure you would have more chance to sell your property faster if that commision was not on top of your asking price, would you buy from someone who was charging you more than the sellers asking price or would you rather buy direct from the seller and save in some cases a fortune.

Who can use the Online Property List? |

Anyone from anywhere in the world that is not excluded by the Terms of use can add a property or search the Online Property List properties, if you are the person renting or selling the property, or if you are an agent, even if you have more than one property to rent or to sell just click on the "Sign up!" button to join and then you can add your property or properties to our database but Remember if you have added a property and that property is no longer for rent or for sale then Please don't forget to remove it from our database. |

How much does it cost to add a property to the Online Property List? |

Adding a property to the Online Property List is FREE, although from Jan 1st 2004 you will have the option to make a contribution or donation to the service to cover the cost of advertising, running the site and maintenance. You are in no way oblidged to make a contribution or donation and you can still use this service for free even if you do not wish to make any contribution. If we find we cannot cover our costs by the contribution method or find other inadequacies with this then we may in the future make a small charge for placing a property on our database, all those members who have properties in the database when and if this happens will be notified in advance so they can decide if they want to renew their property or not, but For now it's FREE with the option of making a contribution if you wish, so take advantage by signing up to the Online Property List and give your property some more client viewing potential. Can I use images of my property? |

Yes you can, you have the option of uploading up to 5 images of each property entered. After signing up and adding a property, click on your properties "Edit" button and upload them from there, changing images is just as simple.
Images need to be smaller than 98K "198,000 bytes" to upload, any images that are larger will not be accepted.
You should use images that are a maximum of 640 pixels wide x 480 pixels high, the largest size an image can be viewed at when a user selects to see a properties information is 500 pixels wide x 376 pixels high, any other places where an image is seen it will be at a scale proportional to this size. 640 X 480 pixels is an accepted normal image size from most digital cameras but if your images where taken at a different size or have been scanned then you will need to use an image manipulation program such as Photoshop or Graphic Converter to alter the images size, images need to be saves in.jpg format. The Ideal digital camera setting for images if available would be "640" and the camera set to "Basic" or "Normal" resolution images.
If you would prefer to send the images to us to upload for you then send them to Image upload link along with your name, property reference number and your written
authorization for us to add them to a property for you. Uploading images from your member area makes them available instantly, if you are sending them to us to upload for you then although we should be able to do this fairly quickly please allow up to 3 working days for them to be added. |

Can I change the property details after they have been submitted? |

Yes, all you need do is Login to your members area where you can change any of your or your properties details. If the property is a rental then we recommend you also let users know of any dates the property is booked out by adding this information to the description field. If you have a property listed for sale in the Online Property List and that property is then sold, we ask you to please remove it's entry by logging in to your members area and deleting the property entry. |

How do I remove my property? |

To remove a property just Login to your members area and press the "Edit" button for that property to change or remove that property from the database, or just let us know by sending us an e-mail with your name, address and property number along with a note of authorization to Support E-mail and we will remove the property for you. |

Can I advertise my business on the Online Property List? |

Yes you can as long as the business or service you are advertising is legal, read the Terms of use, you can be listed in our services database or you could also have a banner placement on any of our pages, to have your company or service listed in our Services database where users can lookup services for different areas then Apply here. |

Is this only for properties in specific countries? |

No, this service is for properties from anywhere in the world. We have placed only a few countries in the country search menu to start but don't worry if a property is added to the database and it's country is not in the search menu then we will add that country to the menu, this may take 48 hours, or let us know and we will add it as soon as we receive notice. Until that time properties from other countries will be listed under "Other" in the country menu. |

What do I need to add a property? |

You need to have a property available for rent or for sale, you can be the owner, an agent or a property rental service. You need to have an e-mail address, it would help to also have one of the following means of contact: a fax number or a telephone number. If you want to use the option for using some images the read this. If you have images but don't understand how to make them in the format above then send them directly to us at Image upload link after you sign up and we will place them for you, don't forget to
include your name and property number in the e-mail so we know from which property they relate to. |

How do I add a property to the Online property List? |

Simply press the "Sign Up" link here or on any of the pages then fill in the details that you are asked, this is a simple 2 step process that consists of a series of questions
regarding details of contact, after filling in and submitting this form you will be able to add your properties. After adding your property you can do a search using the information you used to describe it and your property will be one of the properties returned for the criteria entered. You will be asked to enter a User ID and a password for entering the member area if you need to make adjustment or remove the property at a later date, these will be the same User ID and Password you entered in the sign up process, these should be kept in a safe place and are used to Login to your member area, as every e-mail address is different and easy to remember we recommend using that as your log in User ID. |

How will my property be found if it's country is not in the search menu? |

Don't worry, the only countries that are available in the "Country" menu on the search pages are those countries where we have listed properties, for example: if Mexico is not listed as a search option that's because there are no properties listed that are in Mexico, so basically the menu is smart enough not to offer Mexico as a search option.
If you where to add a property that was in a country not yet listed in the search page country menu's, how then will people find it? Simple, our database application checks each time a property is added to the database if that country is listed in the menu, if it is not, then it will be added and so instantly become a menu option. |

My countries currency is not listed? |

We supply the option of entering Rental rates and For Sale prices in one of three currencies, Euros, Sterling and US Dollars. When entering a property in out database you will be given the option of selecting the amount as one of the above currencies, when your property is searched the currency amount you enter will be shown in bold text and the application will convert this amount to the other two currencies using the exchange rate from the same day the search is being performed. As properties are added for other countries we may upgrade this currency option to include other countries currencies, if you are going to add a number of properties priced in a currency not shown then contact us and we will see what we can do about adding that currency to the above three. |

You need to have cookies enabled to use the members area of the Online property list, if cookies are not enabled then you will get sent back to the log in page while trying to log in. The browser setting can be changed to allow cookies by opening the browser "Settings" or "Preferences...", this menu item is normally located under the "Edit" menu. |
